As Dauphin Island residents like to say, we’re living on “Island Time,” and once you experience the serenity of an afternoon sunset, or watch sea birds performing aerial acrobatics, you will understand why. Come stroll our beaches, charter a boat to fish or to cruise, dine in our special eateries and visit gift shops and boutiques for that special item or gift. In our busy world we plan for tomorrow, but can’t live it until it arrives. We often spend time regretting the past and worrying about the future and fail to enjoy today.
Island Parking
Attention – Updated Dauphin Island Beach Parking Fees/Rules
If you are planning to visit the Dauphin Island beaches this season there are some new parking rules you and your family need to know about! These new rules apply to West End Beach, East End Beach, and Middle Beach.
The fee for a regular passenger car is $10 per day.
There is no extra charge for passengers in the car.
For oversized vehicles such as RVs, Busses, cars pulling trailers, etc. the fee is $20 per day.
The fee for walk-ins or cyclists is $3 for the day.
Island residents do not have to pay to be admitted. Please provide proof of residency with a driver’s license or Dauphin Island home address. The “Beach” decal issued by the Dauphin Island Police Department will also allow access to the beaches.
Non-residents are able to purchase season passes for the beaches. The fee is $150 and the pass is issued to the person, not the vehicle. Any vehicle that the season-pass holder is in will be admitted to the beaches. The pass holder’s ID must match the non-resident season pass card or the non-resident season pass list. Guests in the same vehicle as the pass holder will also be admitted free of charge.
About The Chamber
The purpose of the Dauphin Island Chamber of Commerce is to serve and promote interests of the commercial community of Dauphin Island.
The DICoC actively solicits input from its members on issues that affect their ability to conduct business on the Island. The DICoC also promotes events on the Island throughout the year to attract more visitors to the Island. This increase in visitation acts to increase the opportunity for local business members to conduct their commercial activities.
We’re Dog Friendly!
Dogs are allowed to visit Dauphin Island’s primary public beach and the Dauphin Island Campground.
Please note that dogs are not allowed at the West End Beach Park on the Island’s extreme west end. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
